On August 24, our animated feature was released in two more countries: now the movie is on screens in India and Chile!
These weekend The Stolen Princess, an animated feature by Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group) will be screened in the cities of the world’s most populated country – India. Firstly the movie will appear on screens of New Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat, followed by a release next Friday in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The film will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions, shown by distributor Ultra Media & Entertainment Group.
Indian media have already mentioned the importance of this release. Sushilkumar Agarwal, CEO of Ultra Media & Entertainment Group said: “It is very rare to see a non-studio animation movie releasing in India which is at par with a Hollywood studio in terms of animation quality, dubbing and content. This is one of the key reasons we decided to acquire the rights for India. We feel the film will resonate well with Indian family audiences because of the universal theme” in a comment for The Hindu Business Line. Another acknowledgment of the movie came from the Cartoon Brew article.
In addition, on August 24, The Stolen Princess was released on the new continent: Chile became the first country in South America where our film entered the theatrical release. In September the film will be released in Venezuela and Argentina, and after that in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil. Wish our Princess lot of success on that distant continent!
Recall that on March 7 the animation film was launched in Ukraine, where The Stolen Princess immediately set the record and became the highest-grossing film of Ukrainian production: for two weeks the animation collected 29,801,235 hryvnia and surpassed the three-month box office of the military drama Cyborgs with collections in 23 032 807 hryvnia. The rights for the movie were sold to more than 50 countries, and it is still on the screens in Serbia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Estonia. In Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina film is on screens for 19 weeks in a row. The admission office has already exceeded 1 million spectators.
